Hi, does anyone have any suggestions for workbooks or other supplemental materials we could do at home to help reinforce 2nd grade math? (child is in APS if that makes a difference). Thanks! |
I am forever a singapore math fan girl. |
agree with singapore math books. The singapore math book i had ages ago (sorry can't remember the name) had a section in front explaining all the different methods to do problems (all the methods that APS now teaches) so it was helpful for me. |
My kids like Beast Academy. It's definitely more outside the box thinking |
There are a lot of Singapore Math & Singapore Math-style curricula nowadays.
I am happiest with Singapore Math "Primary Mathematics US Edition", which is the ur-curriculum and the most Singaporey of them all. Cheap, lots of resources available, plenty of used copies floating around, and as a bonus, your child will be adding and subtracting durian fruit. Beast Academy is a choice for a child who is very, very good at math; generally speaking, your 95+ percentile kid is the target of that curriculum. |
