What are the Greater DC "Big 3" Catholic Schools?

What are the DC Area's "Big 3" Catholic Schools?

I've been told
1)Georgetown Prep
2) The Heights
3) St. Anslem's Abbey
Others:

Georgetown Visitation, Good Counsel, St. John's College, Bishop, Connelly School of the Holy Child

Interesting that your selected top three are all boys schools. And for what it is worth, The Heights wouldn’t belong on that list.

Stone Ridge is a contender, and it is all girls.

Definitely NOT the Heights. You must be a parent there.

But to be fair, that depends upon what the parents are looking for. I know parents who MOVED to this area precisely because of the Heights (which, yes, DS attended, so I know all of the ins and outs). But by all means continue your bigoted tirade

The OP was asking specifically for "Big 3" comparisons which I take to mean prestige and selectivity. I don't think The Heights is a Catholic equivalent, which isn't bigoted. I would say Gonzaga, Visi, Prep, Stoneridge. That's it. That's where rich, well-connected Catholics send their kids in this area. None of those other schools are in the same category, and that's not to say they are not great schools.

The question was which Catholics are the Big 3, not which Catholics rank highest though. While I'm sure there is overlap, it's not the same list. There is no prestige in St. Anselm's, though it's obviously a very well regarded school.

pls don't associate "big #" with catholic schools. that's not why we send our kids there

Ehh… people send their boys to prep for the prestige and alumni network

Yes, all true, but an early PP mentioned the Heights. So all fair in commentary as a result or did you not read the above before posting?
