| Feel safe etc… last min trip to half moon bay never been before |
| If you mean the Half Moon resort in Montego Bay - its is a great resort. We stopped going to Jamaica because the food isn't that great and we like some other islands better, but Half Moon is a great spot. Very nice, good food, safe, etc. Just don't leave the resort. |
| I hate Jamaica. The resorts are fine but seriously, you can not explore the culture at all. Everyone has a son story. The tipping is crazy |
| Terrible place |
If you had bad food in Jamaica, you definitely weren’t in the right place. |
| I didn't like Jamaica. I LOVED it! The culture, the food, the music, the scenery. |
Yes you can but it’s not going to be at an all inclusive resort. Seriously? |
| Love it.. Have been many times. I have been to most Caribbean Islands. The only one I did not like was the DR. |
We have been 3 different times. It’s not a place for foodies. The local food is delicious but not for every meal. |
We were offered drugs by staff at our all inclusive hotel. |
I assume weed? |
| Love Jamaica. Fun people, great music, excellent Blue mountain coffee, and some of the best food in the Caribbean. Beaches are gorgeous, water is perfect. Go! |
That would be experiencing the local culture.... |

We've been twice and like Jamaica. However, the long ride to some of the resorts is a little sketchy feeling and like many islands the poverty is saddening.
Our airport transportation (van) was stopped once at a checkpoint manned by two men holding what looked like assault rifles. They exchanged some words with the driver and we were on our way, but not expecting to be suddenly stopped by armed men was a bit alarming to us and the other couples in the van. Food was good but not great - but we also stayed at AI's so we didn't expect gourmet dining. Would definitely go back, though my wife and I don't think we would take our young kids there unless we stayed within a short drive from the airport. |
Many people go to Jamaica to smoke weed. Its part of the Jamaican culture. Many people go to Amsterdam for the same reason, yet no ones clutching their pearls about people selling "drugs" there. I wonder what makes Jamaica different..
