Disgusting ads keep popping up on facebook and other sites

I googled colon cancer symptoms maybe a month ago. Now on facebook marketplace when I am browsing for things disgusting pictures of poop are popping up. Yesterday I clicked on a link pointing to chairish (where you find antique furniture) on DCUM. Today on FB Marketplace there is a chairish ad with an old B&W painting of a naked woman pooping next to some furniture and it is supposed to be an artistic picture. WTH? Another day I googled eye pain and since then I am getting a really gross ad of an eye with like a zillion boils in yellow around the white part showing some type of disease. I close it and it keeps coming back again. How do I get rid of these?

It depends on the browser and the device. Need more info. Generally there a browser settings option, within which there is a clear all history and stored data feature.
