Culture at NCS

The thread of Holton culture was so honest and very informative. I was wondering if someone could give us an understanding of the culture at NCS. Both of the girls and families.

I just skimmed the Holton thread. If you swapped out Holton for NCS in the thread title, I wouldn’t know difference.

How welcoming is NCS (and Holton, too) of transfers in 7th grade? That seems like a difficult year for kids in general...is going to a new school with friends who have been together for a while a bad plan?

Very welcoming. The girls do reach out to the new students

My daughter came in at 7th and it was fine. The middle school is very friendly

My DD entered Holton in 7th. Is now in HS. Has had a fantastic experience both socially and academically. Her first year or so she was mostly friends with other girls that entered in 7th, but now has a large group of friends that entered both with her and at various other points before and after her.
