cash gifts for babysitters

I want to give our babysitter cash as a holiday present, but I'm not sure how much is appropriate. I've read in more than one place that taking the amount that the sitter is paid for a normal session and doubling it gives you the appropriate gift amount, but in our case that would come to $150. Is that not a bit much?!

$150 does seem excessive for a gift....I would probably give what she makes in ONE session as a gift and not double it.
