Hi! I’m originally from north Arlington but moved out of the area many years ago. My parents still live in north Arlington and are aging. My parents have been having some health issues and would benefit from a meal service. I have something locally where the week before you pick what you want…a full meal for 2/4 and you can also buy extra sides/desserts. It is for pickup and they are healthy, home style meals. I’d love to find something like that and set it up for them but with delivery or pickup possibly in north Arlington. I know a friend from Arlington recommended Uber eats but carry out constantly is super expensive and not fun/healthy.
Are there options that you all know about that I can look into? Thanks! |
Mighty meals? I’m sure there are more but this is what we use. |
DP. How’s the food? We were looking into this recently but I couldn’t find much in the way of reviews. And do they accommodate food allergies? |
OP here- interesting!! I’m also wondering how the food is. One of my sisters thinks one of those meals kit services could be good for them too since they can physically cook but just need something SUPER simple and healthy too. |

Try Neighborhood Provisions (from the Neighborhood Restaurant Group). They offer a mix of prepared foods (like lasagna that you just finish in the oven, soups that you warm up, etc.) and groceries. We use them to stock our freezer with quick meals for busy nights, but sometimes get one of the "Date Night" meals (three-course meals with menus that rotate each week). Everything is delicious. They deliver in Northern VA or you can pick up locally. |
Chef Geoff does this and they deliver.
Ambar is fun: they have a takeout menu where you can pick and choose from different options. Lebanese Taverna used to have a family meal, not sure if they still do. |
Vegetable and Butcher is worth checking out (not sure if it's exactly what you are looking for though) |
A lot of people on MONA recommend Mighty Meals |
Soupergirl delivers locally. Hearty soups and some salads. The soups can be frozen. |
This makes me miss Galley ![]() |
