I'm looking for a class of any kind that my kindergartener and I can take together for bonding time as she starts the new school year. Any recommendations?
We live in North Bethesda but feel free to list places anywhere in the DC region. |
Maybe try one of those art studios — there’s a place in Crown (https://www.amazingartstudio.com/). Even if they don’t have organized classes, it’s a great bonding activity. They have ceramic painting, mosaics, canvas painting, etc. |
I am not being snarky but you don’t need a class for this. Plan some homew together, have a family game night, simple card games or board games for 2 players. Stick to the commitment like it’s a class. |
Above should say “ plan some hikes together” |
OP: Yeah, it definitely doesn't have to be a formal class, and open to suggestions of free activities, too!
We'd benefit from something that has the built-in accountability of having someone who will be expecting us to attend for a few weeks. |
Look for family yoga classes. I'm not in your area, but around me they're usually for ages 3-8 with an adult. |
Glen Echo Park offers parent & child classes, for kid sages 5-8.

The Arts Barn in Kentlands offers some family classes. |
