Pinwheel v. Gabb

DD is 10 and in 5th, but at our school she actually moved into middle school this year and is one of the only kids in her class without a phone. I wanted to wait a lot longer to get her one, but we have a number of extenuating circumstances (her dance schedule, the fact that she's being left off group texts, an upcoming multi-night sleepaway class field trip) that are starting to tip me over to getting her phone. It seems like a lot of people have Gabb phones, but Pinwheel seems to offer more hands-on parental options. Does anyone have anything pro or con for either?
