The food diary of a 27 year old consultant making $225K in DC.
I had to stop reading when I learned that her parents are feeding their dog avocado toast and she’s spending over $1000 in food IN ONE WEEK. No, this is not from The Onion. https://www.bonappetit.com/story/food-diary-washington-dc-225k-salary |
| Seriously, who cares to read about such a vapid useless person? |
Apparently Bon Appetit thinks this is engaging content.
|
| I couldn’t get past Tuesday. Who TF cares? |
| Ha, no interest. This is why the rest of us can't have nice things. |
| It’s not possible to read this whole thing. |
|
Didn’t read it but avocado is very bad for dogs.

I read through Wednesday. Had to stop. Then went back for the rest.
I’m glad this person has a hobby. And I assume it was amped up the week they did this article. But it was an over the top life. Not presuming she will have kids. But, what then?? |
I was wondering if that was even healthy. |
| Oh my god, if she says farmers market one more time… Seriously, the thought of eating like that day after day truly grosses me out. |
Hope the poor pooch doesn’t get pancreatitis. |
| It seems excessive even for a 225k salary in your twenties, unless she has rich parents. My nephews started working at FAANG right out of college but they don’t spend like this. |
|
I feel like I gained weight reading it!
Seems like a fun way to spend your 20s as a consultant. |
+1 I actually enjoyed it. She’s a good writer and I was interested and amused by the young, rich person DC week in the life. But I like most Grub Street Diet entries too. I’m wondering if squash helped her get into that “school in Boston” she attended. |
| Oh my goodness. My ibs flared up just reading about all those berries. Seems excessive! |
