| So, I want to select a good credit card for emergency use only (car accident, dental needs, etc). How do you locate the best credit card (low interest, no annual fee...etc)? I don't need any "gigs" such as air mileage, shopping spree, free trip, magazine subscriptions that come with applying for a credit card. I just need a very simple one with the lowest fee. There are so many CC applications sent to me via mail, but I never open to reach them....Any suggestions? |

I have a Citibank Dividends mastercard & DH has a Citibank Dividends Visa. There is no annual fee (it should be easy to find cards with no annual fee -- don't consider any others). I don't pay attention to the rate because we pay it off each and every month. You get 1% back on purchases, which adds up.
Why don't you save all the apps you get for the next month or two, then open them up and compare them side by side, and see which if any suit your needs? |
| Alternatively, start socking away $20 or $50 or $100 a month, and soon you'll have a nice little emergency stash, so you won't have to go into potentially life-changing debt over dental work or a car accident. |
