Question for out-of-boundary Piney Branch Elem. parents

I've got the possibility of becoming an out-of-boundary Piney Branch Elem. parent (younger child has been admitted to TPES). Could parents at this school pls let me know:

1. What do you think of the school?
2. Do kids automatically go to TPMS even if they are out of boundary? Or do out-of-boundary kids need to go back to their home middle school?

I think they go back to their home middle school but maybe they have an edge at applying for the magnet (I do NOT know if that is true it is what I have heard)....
We love PBES and TPES....great very involved schools and PBES has a pooL!
