My longtime stylist is moving to NC. I'd appreciate recommendations for stylists -- for both cut and color-- in Georgetown, Upper NW, Bethesda or Silver Spring. I'm over 50 with straight, thick collarbone-length hair with some layers. I'd like to find a good stylist in a salon that has a pleasant vibe, clean and on the quieter side. Thanks for your suggestions! |
I am 49 and have similar hair to yours. I go to Guven Salon and Spa in Glover Park. Guven himself is my stylist. I get highlights, color, and cut. Very happy. I have been going there for the last 5 years or so. |
I really like Grazia at The Shop in Bethesda. She expertly cuts and colors and the vibe is very low key. |
I really like Tony at Salon Nader in North Bethesda. |
Katie McClure at Salon Lofts Chevy Chase. |
Javier at Salon Luigi Parasmo - he is fabulous |
+1 for Guven Salon. They are all good. |
I like him, too, and Jasmina there. The salon can be bright and noisy, though. |
David rios or Luigi Parasmo |
I like Gina at Headlines in Silver Spring |
+2 for Guven. Very happy with them! |
I followed Damian Tran from his last salon in Bethesda. He now rents a private room inside another salon. I love that he only takes one client at a time so you can be in and out fairly quickly even when getting color. He’s also just a really nice guy and fun to chat with. https://www.vagaro.com/damiantransalon |
I like Kim and Adam at Ilo in Georgetown. But all good there. Relaxed. Nice vibe. |

Esperanza at hair cuttery in Greenbelt. |
