Mark Exclusion

What is a Mark Exclusion - No credit earned.

There is a parent who can't access their kid's grades on-line with two entries like this. What does this mean? Anyone know?

No one knows what this is? That's strange.

Can they go on the child's account and see what is going on in that class? Or, email the teacher/call the school.

I did a little research. The M is Missing, and Mark Exclusion seems to be different. According to IKA-RA it's used to re-take a portion of a course. It's initiated by a Counselor and signed off upon by a Principal.

That parent can ask the teacher. Why are you involved?

Synergy is horrible. Did the kid change teachers or classes? When a student moves from one class to another, Synergy doesn't know what to do with them because they had one class one marking period and another during the second marking period. (even if it was the same class just a different period, with the same teacher). Synergy can't merge those two data points and the teacher has to manually fix it when they finalize grades. Teachers will have manually calculate the final semester grade. This is what teachers will be doing on Monday. Content Specialists will be looking at Synergy to look for these errors and they should be fixed before grades are finalized.
