It's about the soda tax to improve DC school food. would add 30% to the cost of a soda at a penny an ounce (diet soda exempt). I'm all for it! However, when I went shopping last weekend, campaigners were trying to get me to petition to sign a "no to the beverage tax" petition. So misleading -- it's not a beverage tax, it's a non-diet soda tax. And even if it were broader than that, the funding of better school lunches/breakfasts is such a great thing. |
