
We just got the results for our child's school MSA report (2009)
I am really surpised by the results for the state of MD in mathematics. http://mdk12.org/data/MSA/GradeLevel.aspx?Nav=1.6:5.1:10.99:15.99:2.22:20.2:3.4 Is something wrong with the math MSA, or is something wrong with the way school districts in MD teach math? Looking at the results, it seems as if, except for one brief shing moment in 4th grade, the longer kids are in MD schools, the worse they are doing on this these tests. 15% of 3rd grades fail (score "basic) 10% of 4th graders failed. 19% of 5th graders failed. 23% of 6th graders failed. 27% of 7th graders failed. 32% of 8th graders failed. What is going on? |
