Anyone know what to do with unused supplies and drugs from IVF treatment? I have seen online where some people donate them to their IVF clinic, but it does not really feel like a helpful donation - they make money off of treatment and I would prefer they go to help people who need them in financial need. Is there any such place?
I've actually been on the receiving end of donated IVF meds at my clinic. They decided to stim me longer than expected, and it was a weekend and I was out of IVF meds because I thought we were done with the stim phase. The clinic gave me the meds I needed at no cost thanks to another patient who donated. I can't tell you how thankful I was.
I donated mine through the Reddit ivf sub.
Does SG accept them? If they can’t be donated, anyone know the proper way to dispose of them?
Unused needles and syringes can be donated to a shelter like HIPS in DC.
Thanks so much. What about unused meds?
I gave mine away (and received some) from a FB page for my clinic and for a group of single moms doing IVF.
I donated mine back to SG.
