Thoughts on Westbrook Elem?

Can any current parents provide information/thoughts on Westbrook Elementary? We have just moved to the area and are trying to decide between sending our DC to Westbrook or goto Stone Ridge (private school) that had a few open spots for K.

I'm a recent parent (youngest child in middle school now).

On the whole, Westbrook is a fantastic school - a warm community, excellent teachers who use the MCPS curriculum as a starting point (not as an end-point), involved parents, motivated kids. The music teacher is a gem - she puts on a shortened broadway musical every year with the fifth grade. The fourth grade team is very involved in ecology, including landing outside grants to support the program. The school is a real anchor for the neighborhood as well.

No school is perfect. Not every teacher was fantastic (although the really bad one only stayed one year and several were phenomenal), the school has no gym, it is increasingly overcrowded which means portable classrooms for some classes. But I haven't heard of an MCPS elementary that would have a better overall score when balancing pluses and minuses.
