I am looking into gymnastics camps for toddlers this summer. Would like to send my DS, who will just turn 3.
He currently does Silver Stars and *loves* it, but he won't be old enough to attend their summer camp (lower cutoff is 3.5, and they're strict about it). But I noticed that Marvatots 'n teens in Rockville does allow 3 year olds. Does anyone have experience with this? Any other recommendations? Would prefer southern MoCo or NW DC locations... TIA |
Hi. Not sure about the camp BUT our almost 2 yr old son went to the weekly class and we didn't love it primarily because the group was very mixed i.e., toddlers through 6/7 yr olds and it didn't work for us because our son is a little bit too young to participate in a group that spans such an age group. I would ask the question about age groups if you think this would be a concern. BTW, when I signed up, I was told that the class was for toddlers ... That said, I have a friend who takes her son ( 6 months old than mine) to the weekly Sat class, and he loves his class! |
My daughter, who had just turned 3, did a couple weeks of summer camp at Marvatots last year. She loved it overall and still talks about it. She was probably the youngest, though, so she definitely was a little slower in learning some things compared to others. |
OP here. Thanks for both of your responses - they were v. helpful! |
