Who remembers the last few Fall’s in the Metro Area?

Was it 80s thru November or did it get cooler earlier?

I’m drawing a blank, I’ve lived here too long and I can’t remember if this past year was a warm Fall or not nor the year before.

October usually starts off pretty warm but cools off by the 3rd week. But temps can be up and down a lot still in late October and November. I remember a hot and humid Halloween a few years ago. It was right before a big thunderstorm rolled in that same night. And when my oldest was a baby (2015) we ate Christmas dinner outside because it was like 70.

Halloween is usually cool enough to to need at least a sweatshirt or sweater

Around December is when I think about wearing a jacket. Halloween is still ludicrously hot.

When I first moved to this area in the 80s, it seemed like it always was cool and beautiful starting right in September. We would get a week of hot weather here and there but generally it turned to fall like clock work.

Now summer goes on forever.

+1 We have been here for 33 years. It seems like September is hot now for at least the first two weeks (like real summer hot) and then we might be at "medium hot" for the last two weeks.

I remember a very sizable snowstorm here in early November in the late 80’s when I was in high school. Like a foot of snow. That would be unheard of today. The leaves are still on the trees here in early November now.

It was 100 degrees in October in 2019. I very clearly remember that day.

Summer ends sometime in October.

I remember my prize roses blooming until DECEMBER, and getting bitten by a random mosquito in November.

Honestly, my roses are the only nice thing about summer. They have a lovely bloom in early June, then have flowers on and off until late fall. And they smell heavenly.

I can still vividly remember how crisp and beautiful it was the morning of 9-11-01.

Unless we are in a rainy stretch, Halloween is still pretty warm here. Most of our pics have us still in sandals/flip flops. Even as late as Thanksgiving, it's been warm enough during the day to be outside and comfortable with no coat.
