For those in their second or third pregnancies.. (or fourth or fifth...)

Was the morning sickness similar in your pregnancies?

In my first, I had ongoing nausea from weeks 6 - 10. Here I am at 7 1/2 weeks feeling HORRIBLE just like with #1. I keep telling myself that it will be over at 10 weeks, but thought I'd see if this is actually likely to be true.

Was your morning sickness the same intensity and duration for all of your pregnancies or did it vary widely?

On pregnancy #3 (#4 if you count a m/c at 12 weeks). For the first 2 (3 really) pregnancies, I didn't have any morning sickness. This one I had some nausea and vomitting and honestly, just felt like sh*t for the first 14-15 weeks or so. But since then have felt great (now 31 weeks). Good luck to you!

MS was progressively worse for my first three -- all girls. On my fourth, and MS wasn't too bad. I'm having a boy. I think there's something to that old wives' tale.

On #3- MS was the same for #1 and #2- that is to say non-existent. This time I was on Prometrium which I think attributed to some nausea weeks 6-12, but no throwing up.

Mine was bad for my first (boy) and now still bad for my second. I'm 11 weeks and hoping the nausea goes away soon. I'd say my morning sickness is about the same for the two pregnancies.

On my third. Morning sickness with each. Starts around 5/6 weeks (each one) and lasts until 13 weeks (literally stops on a dime) and it each pregnancy has varying levels of misery.

The first, I vomited non stop (lost LOTS of weight)

The second was more CONSTANT neausea.

Third was a mix.

All girls.

I'm on my 4th, almost 10wks along.

I've had m/s with all of them - a wonderful combination of nausea and terrible indigestion/reflux/heartburn. Lasts pretty much the whole pregnancy.

M/s was the worst with #2, I think b/c my #1 and #2 are extremely close in age (14 months apart) so with #2, I was exhausted from the get-go and felt like crap from day 1. I have a girl, boy, boy and not sure what this one is yet (my instinct is girl, though I'd LOVE another boy).

4 pregnancies with horrible m/s. It lasted 19 weeks with number 1, 17 with #2, 13 weeks with 3 and 4. So at least it got shorter.

There is hope!

First 2 pregnancies, I had HORRIBLE MS. Now, on number 3, I had very very little.

I have had 4 pregnancies (2 were miscarriages). I had mild to moderate nausea in all of them. The nausea was milder in the non-viable pregnancies. Of the viable pregnancies, I had fairly comparable nausea levels, but had strong food and smell aversions with one and not the other. Also, the nausea lasted several more weeks with the 2nd pregnancy (12 weeks vs. 9-10 weeks).
