everything doesnt. but almost all list on wed/thurs sell by mon/tues type properties trigger that algorithm.

Because some areas of the country are very, very, hot.
If you follow the listings every day, you'll see some listings are labeled hot before or after others that listed the same day - and this gives you an idea of which ones garner more relative interest.

+1 An $850,000 SFH in a popular area will automatically be hot, because every other $850,000 SFH in that zip code over the past two years has gone under contract in less than 10 days. Not hard.
