MoCo (and nearby) Farms to Buy Food

Live in North Potomac (near Darnestown) and we'd love to start venturing out to farms to get eggs, meats, etc. We've looked at Rocklands Farm type of setting but that stuff is pretty pricey. Wonder if there are better options further out. We don't mind going out to FC or Poolesville but wanted to know if you all had some recommendations of some nice family run farms that have good offerings.

Lewis Orchards is down the road a bit. Lots of peaches and other produce. Homestead has good variety of fruit and veggies.

OP here. Thanks for the rec. I should have been more precise. Not referring to veggies/fruit. I know of many in the area that offer that. I am focused on meats (beef, chicken, pork) and eggs.

Go to the farmers market and most of the local farmers will show up there with their meat eggs etc. I don’t think many of them take walk ins. South mountain does for eggs and milk but they are far north.
