Got the following email from Amazon post loops. I thought they do provided interview feedback?
"During the course of our recruiting efforts, we have come across many highly qualified candidates, such as you. Throughout this process we carefully evaluate each candidate’s background and interests against our projected workloads and general staffing needs. We are impressed with your background and qualifications, however after careful consideration, the hiring team has decided to not move forward with you for this role. We will be placing your resume back into the database for all of our recruiters and hiring managers to review and consider for other roles within Amazon. It was a pleasure meeting you and thank you again for taking the time to speak with us. We hope that you will continue to be interested in future opportunities at Amazon. We wish you well in your pursuit of a new position, and thank you for your continued interest. I am not able to share any type of interview feedback, but if you do have any other questions, please feel free to reach out" |
| No one provides interview feedback. No one. |
| OP don't sweat it. You probably dodged a bullet with Amazon. I am an executive recruiter for a mid size firm. I know several qualified folks that have failed the amazon interview process and have done extremely well with our company. |
| They don't provide feedback. Good job though, even though you didn't get this role you must have done pretty well to be going right back into the database. If there were significant concerns, they wouldn't let you apply to anything else for awhile. |
I failed the Amazon interview twice for a SWE position and now work for a different FAANG company with 2 promos under my belt. I wouldn't sweat it. Pretty sure it was the leadership principles that I screwed up on since their coding problems weren't very difficult. |

Receiving this email is your “feedback.” They don’t provide detailed feedback.
This just means that they aren’t outright rejecting you, and they’re giving you the option to apply for something else. In Amazon speak, you’ve been “recycled.” |
| They didn't bar/ban you from applying for other opportunities. That's feedback enough that you didn't screw up and could/would be considered for other opportunities. |
|
This is your feedback:
"We will be placing your resume back into the database for all of our recruiters and hiring managers to review and consider for other roles within Amazon." |
How can they ban you from applying to future openings? |
| No company in their right mind would provide feedback. It is a recipe for a discrimination suit. |
