how to tip an uber eats driver

We order food delivery from a restaurant that hires Uber Eats for delivery every few weeks. The restaurant is the one that hires the Uber Eats driver when we order our food online. We often don't have exact cash to tip the driver and they can't make change for us. Is there a way through the Uber app to tip the driver if I am not the one who ordered the delivery through Uber?

I would just keep some cash at home that you just grab. Keep it separate and know it is just for tips.

You order uber eats every few weeks and you've never noticed the option to add a tip? I'm not sure how you could miss it; it's a very obvious step in the order process. Anyway, you can add a tip up to 30 days after your placed your order. I always add a tip at the time of my order. Who wants to hassle with cash?

The full amount of cash goes directly to the driver. I don't think they feel hassled by that.

OP here. No - I order the food from the restaurant online. The restaurant hires the Uber Eats for the delivery.
