But remember you will also hear from the makeup people, Lively's assistant and nanny, Jenny Slate, the Sony people, and others who may present a much more pro-Lively version of events. I don't think you can assume that if it goes to trial, everything will obviously swing towards Baldoni. I also think pro-Baldoni folks need to consider that even if their guy is totally innocent of SH and retaliation, the trial may reveal that he's not so great. One thing that has made me cautious about choosing a side in this case is the way Baldoni folks talk about him and Heath and the Wayfarer people. But as an outsider with no horse in this race, I see a lot NOT to like about these people. Heath and Baldoni seem tone-deaf and obnoxious in a way a lot of Hollywood people do (so does Lively, to be clear, but I'd put them all on about the same level of "likability" -- the interviews I've seen with Baldoni are no more likable than what I know about Lively). Sarowitz honestly seems like kind of a villain in all this -- the Hamas comment was messed up and he seems like your typical thin-skinned, power mad billionaire throwing his weight around. ALL the PR people seem like the worst, and that includes Abel and Nathan (as well as Jones and Sloane, Sloane probably seems the least bad at this point but she's probably awful). Nathan seems to have an especially horrible personality and I just cannot imagine that she will garner a lot of sympathy for the Wayfarer side. Abel seems more likable but also kind of dumb. I think it's very easy if you've picked a side to view everything in the light most favorable to that side (this goes for pro-Lively people too, for sure, it's just there are less of those). But as someone who truly does not have a side, I don't get warm fuzzies from the Wayfarer characters at all. Probably the person coming off best right now is Jed Wallace, which is kind of funny. Everyone else seems kind of like trash. |
I’m not so sure about this. Blake has lost about 8 million followers on Instagram. That’s not nothing. It doesn’t look like her hair line has recovered and she’s not been cast in any movies despite it ends with us being a huge success. |
Oh, I agree. They are all trash. I don’t know that there are that many people rooting for Wayfarer vs just being on their side because Blake seems insane. The problem is that it is a very behind-the-scenes brand so they can continue even if tarnished to churn out the kind of movies that they do. People are going to go see a scar jo movie if they want - they don’t care who’s producing it. But Blake‘s brand is all about being out front. Selling her hair products and being in movies. Being seen with Taylor Swift was huge and now that’s gone. So I think at the end of the day while you are right that not a lot of people are really rooting for wayfarer, this has tarnished Blake’s brand, but I am the one who said they never thought it would get this far and thought it was going to end at the New York Times article. |
Just to go off on this tangent, I'm still utterly bewildered about the song Cancelled. There are enough details that specifically line up to Blake that I accept the general consensus that it is about her. And the song is literally "I will stand beside and be seen with my friend despite the negative press, in fact I revel in it," yet she is not doing that at all. It's kind of funny/hypocritical. I accept that it could be for legal reasons and Swift not wanting to be dragged into the case. It just makes me feel like Swift is hedging her bets, that if Lively wins her trial, she'll be papped with her at dinner in NYC the day the verdict comes in, but if Lively loses, she'll just quietly continue fading away, lol. There have been those weird stories on and off that will sometimes hint the lines of communication are open, and sometimes that it's over. I feel like their friendship status gets negotiated behind the scenes too. I think it's very important to Lively to win or get something she can spin as a win, like a settlement with apology (quite unlikely) or an undisclosed settlement plus a win on the attorney's fees and 47.1 so she can claim the victim mantle who stood up against a retaliatory lawsuit to silence her, blah blah blah. But it seems to be extremely personal to Wayfarer, who have framed themselves as socially conscious and feminist, and they too want to win at trial, so it's hard to see how this settles, but then keep in mind all the insurance lawsuits too, and is Sarowitz really going to go on like this out of his own pocket. I would love to know the true dynamics behind Team Wayfarer, I'm sure they all hate Lively, we can see that from the text chains, but I wonder if any of them are angry at each other for their various slips. |
| I think Blake’s problem is that she is several degrees more unlikable than your average entitled Holly wood star. Go watch that TikTok of her telling the waiter how to pour her drink if you need an illustration. |
I think cancelled is about the Jonas wife. |

Regarding canceled. I’m really baffled that people don’t understand this. For Taylor to have so many versions on vinyl that people are going out preorder, the recordings have to be locked down at least six months in advance. For all the pre-sales and distributions that Taylor does, probably longer. So she had to have finished all the recordings by early 2025.
It is definitely possible that when Blake’s life started blowing up in August and September 2024 Taylor flew back to Sweden to record canceled. Personally, I don’t think it’s likely but it’s possible. But that is not the question. Taylor had a double date with Blake and Ryan as late as October 2024 so we know they were still friends. The timeline in question as well after that. People did not know why she did not issue a statement of support or be seen with Blake in December 2024 when the times article hit. The theory is that she and her people knew this was going to get really messy and that she was going to likely get dragged in so she was probably annoyed and didn’t want to do anything. But the real shit hit the fan near the Super Bowl when Blake was not invited and knew that was going to look bad and pressured Taylor to put out a statement. That’s when supposedly the extortion happened and that is when report started coming out that the friendship was permanently over. So unless the theory is that Taylor just didn’t want to get involved, but wanted to show support - so flew out to Sweden in February-March of this year to record canceled in a vague show of support of her friend which is highly unlikely, it really doesn’t matter if canceled is about Blake. Their friendship ties severed later than the record recording. Canceled is likely about many people. The song references bringing a tiny violin to a knife fight - a tiny violin a symbol for sympathy and Charli has a song called sympathy for a knife or whatever - it’s at least a reference to Charli. But anyway, it doesn’t explain why Travis unfollowed Ryan and why they have not been seen together since last October, why Blake is not joining any mutual friend group outings or why she wasn’t at Taylor’s album release party. Or why Taylor issued that really loaded statement that was definitely a dig at Blake saying that she hadn’t watched the movie for weeks after. I suppose we will really know when the wedding festivities start and Blake is either invited or not. Saying cancelled is about Blake is the most desperate attempt I’ve seen by the pro Blake crowd to try to keep their friendship going. It’s just weird. |
She was never cancelled. The public sided with her, not Joe. I think the song is about Brittany Mahomes. |
Makes a lot of sense for it to be about Brittany |
Definitely think this is part of it. I don't know the machinations behind it, but a whole lot of people saw videos and quotes from Blake being an absolutely terrible, lying biyatch throughout her career. That content was organically from her, so even if there was a "smear" she's so fixated on, not every actress has such rich content of their public a-holery. She consistently comes off just terribly and you can't get around that fact. |
While this may be true, it doesn't mean Baldoni/Wayfarer don't have liability here. |

Wayfarer parties response on the Heath birth videos: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304.928.0.pdf
It's better than a lot of their other filings. A strong argument is made that they technically provided what was asked for in the judges' order, which wasn't all birth videos, but was the video referenced in Wayfarer's complaint. They argue she is essentially treating this as a motion to compel all birth videos in Heath's possession which she should have made during discovery, and that you can't impose heavy sanctions when the order did not clearly state all birth videos. I think given the strong privacy interests for Mrs. Heath, a non-party (I thought they could have made more of that), the judge has to rule in Wayfarer's favor here but perhaps Liman will prove me wrong, heh. |
After spending time in the hot tub with Gottlieb, Liman will... not grant Blake's wishes. Even that's a step too far for Gottlieb's tennis buddy. |

I don’t understand the point of seeing more of Heath‘s wife’s birth video. It’s just going to be… A birthing video right? I mean is she trying to say that it was p-rn?
I guess I don’t understand what could be in that video that would help her. Especially if she didn’t see the video? It was just brought up as an option as they were discussing the scene. The optics are not good for Blake. It just seems like they’re desperate move along the line of subpoenaing every content creator on the internet. |
The line “did your girl boss get too close to the sun” is from 2025. Also Taylor could pull a song if she wanted too, even late in the game. She said this album and it’s songs were highly personal. |
