Rice has been good for a long time. It even preceded Duke's academic ascent. Vandy was kind of a rich, southern school that only relatively recently became super selective. I recall it having SAT scores well below UVA and W&M.

Definitely UVA then. My DC had a 1520 and 4.39 GPA and didn't get into UVA. Incredibly frustrating.

No. My kid wasn’t interested in uva but I think it’s definitely overrated in nova.
