Munich with toddlers. The beer gardens all have playgrounds. Try to have one adult remain sober in order to wrangle the kids on the playground. If you take your kids to an indoor beer hall, no one will care if they are screaming because it's so noisy in there. WHo knew?

Custer State Park. We broke all the rules and petted the buffalo who were suprisingly friendly.

Shame on you. Then when a buffalo attacks, which happens every year, they blame the poor animals.

+1, but I thought it was going to be pretty cool beforehand. It was amazing all right.

+2. IMO, Cappadocia does not get enough love for what it is -- an amazing, otherworldly place. I also loved the cave hotels, the hiking, the food...everything there.

The National Forest there is just stunning and on par with our hikes in Maui for the gorgeous, take your breath away, views

Totally agree. Killarney was an amazing surprise!

You should see Donegal.

Agree! We also went before the unrest and it was beautiful. Some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been on. Survivor was filmed there twice. Great surfing, snorkeling and fishing.

Lisbon was far and away the most family friendly place we’ve ever been. Just about anywhere you go, families go to the front of the line. Employees would come pull you out of line and tell you to go to the front. Just a wonderful experience there.

The hills, however, are no freaking joke.

Thanks for the recommendation! What made the area standout?

Remote, not touristy with loads of dramatic coastline which is the best part of Ireland. I also love the Antrim coast and The Burren, Connemara and Galway on the West coast. My father's family is from Co. Fermanagh so I booked to think that is the most beautiful area!

+2 Don't touch wild animals. That's very selfish b.c it does actual harm to the animals just for you to have a couple of seconds of excitement.

I'd been to London and Glasgow before, both of which I enjoyed, but I assumed Edinburgh would be similar to them (as in, a rather typical UK city). I was completely blown away by the city. So charming and beautiful, and so much history. It's incredibly easy to get around by foot. Everyone is so friendly. The natural beauty that surrounds the city in such close proximity - the mountains in distance, Arthur's Seat, the sea - was the cherry on top. Everything felt so easy and simple - sometimes, on city vacations, it's easy to a bit rushed or constantly on the go. I did not feel like this in Edinburgh.

Omg Edinburgh and the Highlands are just amazing. With huge apologies to my Irish family- I'm more excited to go back to Edinburgh than Dublin.
