Original PP here. I didn't actually get much of a tax break. I have high SALT amounts, which off-set the reduction in marginal rate. Part of me really wants to experience the ability to cheer loudly for Trump without fear of physical harm.

You and I both know nobody is going to physically harm you for supporting Trump. We just openly think you’re a a horrible human being and won’t include you in the neighborhood BBQ anymore, which I know you find more concerning.

DP. No one has failed to include us in the neighborhood block parties. Maybe because many of our neighbors are also Republicans and/or Trump voters and are also decent people who get along with everyone without letting politics get in the way of friendships. Clearly, you have no idea what that even means.

I'm a D so no need to get all testy. I hope it is blue but the reality is that there is a lot of red in VA. You would be arrogant to think you have it sewn up. It isn't as purple as NC but it is not bright blue.

Yep. I realize VA is purple/blue, but there are definitely lots of Trump supporters here. We live in FxCo.

Also live in FFX county and I wouldn't say there are "lots" of Trump supporters, but it's the closeted ones that worry me.

Not advertising our political affiliation doesn’t make us “closeted,” it makes us private. Trump voters - and Republicans in general - don’t feel the need to pontificate and lecture others, the way liberals so clearly do.
