OMG - New preschool cliques... the moms!

And they still wear sweatshirts from their high school......

LOL!!!! I hate the ballet class waiting room scene. I am in my 30s. I don't refer to people as my "best friend" anymore.

Gosh, the matching t-shirts is a hilarious and sad detail.

Just ignore these moms and make your own friends.

Generally I get why you feel left out, but at least you were invited to the party!

OP here. They literally all had on the exact same print yoga pant and same black shirt with print "lets party". All moms and all of their daughters matched. It was just kind of sad to be left out like that. I haven't experienced that in a long time! I know its petty and not a big deal, but it did hurt and i was surprised we are making cliques at age THREE

What. I have a soon to be third grader and live in DC, and I have never seen anything like this--not even one kid and mom dressed alike. Where is this foolishness taking place, OP?

This sounds like Highland Park, IL. Not DC.

I love you.

This is big fir trips to Disney in particular. Never seen in at a random local birthday party though.

Sorry, OP. I feel like it doesn’t change much in elementary school. We moved to a new school when my oldest was in 2nd grade. I remember signing up to help with the Halloween party - showed up and all the other moms were wearing matching Pink Lady costumes, with full hair & makeup done. They hadn’t even bothered to let me know to wear a costume.
