To the poster who threw out "Tripp," that's a pretty common nickname for little boys who are the third. A little boy named John William Smith III could go by Tripp or Trey.
I do think it's weird to name a baby "Tripp" instead of just use it appropriately as a nickname, though.

I don't think Hilarie is weird.

Speaking of Jaxon, my parents friends (upper middle class, very well educated doctor and professor fwiw) daughter just had a boy and they named him Jaxyn (Jackson). Horrible!! I'm not even going to get into the AA debate with name spelling, but Jaxyn is a completely trailor trash way to spell a name!

44 -- Makayla
58 -- -Bella (not the spelling I have an issue with, but the connection to Twilight)
74 -- Trinity
81 -- Autumn
94 -- Serenity

seriously -- that many people are naming their daughters Serenity?

Serenity? Isn't that an adult diaper brand?

Marijuana Pepsi Jackson.

This is not a race thing, it is a class thing. It may seem to be more common in one race than others, but people who are prone to naming their kids Neveah or Alize can thank their class, not their race.

Years ago, when she worked with my friend, she was still Jackson.

(pronouned a-ne-lee)

In full disclosure, it is my daughter's middle name. I had a student from Central America with that name and I liked it. I liked it for my daughter's first name, but DH and I were worried that it was too wierd, so we went with it as a middle.

By the way, alternate spelling of Anely are:
Analeigh
Analee
Analy
(you'll notice that the first four letters of each of those are ANAL)
honesty is appreciated

I swear it took me a few times to not pronounce this Anal-lee

A lot too much like "Anal Ease"- a product you hope not to have associated with a daughter.
