And who will be next? The blacks? The Asians? You've gotten to work on the Latinos and the Muslims... Let's make this county white again, right?!

You racist pigs are beyond disgusting.

Who will be next? First things first. Working on the criminals now. Of any ethnicity.

And that's why they're only targeting Latino neighborhoods, going door to door like Nazis.

You are beyond disgusting. I feel ashamed of the fact that you can also call yourself American.

Or they are simply following up on deportation orders.
The woman in Phoenix that was recently deported and her story was all over the news. Her deportation order was issued in 2013. So they are at least 4 years behind in rounding up people and that is after Obama apparently had the most deportations of any President.

I think it's realistic that people who know they have a deportation order issued for them have to expect that some day the feds will make good on the order and come for them.

Law enforcement also needs to follow rules. What right do they have to ask someone to prove they are legally in this country? Don't you need something called probable cause? If you were just walking down the street, and a LEO stopped you, terri fisked you, then asked you to prove you were a citizen, what would you do? Could you prove you are a citizen? Who carries a passport with them? I'm a white male, do you think they would ask me?

No, this type of enforcement does not make us safer. What it DOES do is undermine our Constitution. If you believe the Constitution says what it says, it says these right apply to people, not strictly to US citizens. Everyone within our borders as 4th Amendment rights, and LEOs are in the best position to violate these rights. These types of actions destroy our country, and if you support them, you are for destroying out country too.

We know he's our citizen, but he's in your country illegally. you keep him." and we're like, "okay. we'll keep him because we don't want to hurt any immigrant's feelings."

This is a total, and complete lie. Please disregard racist idiots like Pp.

Perhaps you haven't read that Mexico is going to put aside 50million dollars to have illegals jam up the American courts to slow down the deportation process? Mexico said they won't take any one back unless they can prove they are Mexican citizens.

Department of Justice will establish immigration courts then. Totally legal to avoid gumming up the court system.

It appears the raid in Alexandria was actually in Fairfax Coubty, off of Route 1 south of the Mt Vernon area (that's pretty far from Alexandria, further south than the Michaels/ pets mart and Home Depot shopping Center). Anyway there is a church that serves as a hypothermia shelter for men, at around 6:45am ICE came there as men were leaving and arrested 6 men, and detained at least one other who was released because he had a green card. There is no information if those arrested had criminal records or were specifically targeted. This info was in a letter from McAullife to DHS hat was published online yesterday.

Truthfully, I can say I have not idea if they need probable cause to ask such a question. And I don't think it's an outrageous question and I believe that if I was in a foreign country living and working as an American I would also expect to be asked a similar question.

I feel for you, that must be really hard. BUT. This makes me really angry for those children too. If these children are on edge it's because of bad decisions that the parents made and continue to make. No kid deserves to live in fear because the parents are telling them about things that only adults should have to worry about. How irresponsible can you be to break the law by living in a country illegally and then give birth to children while you are living illegally in that country. These are BAD choices made by the parents and then they create burdens for the children they brought into the world. Terrible. This is a big problem, but the blame belongs on the people who made the CHOICE to break the law. My family members and friends are immigrants too, but they respect the laws of this country and came here legally.

The worst kind of logical fallacy. Ok - citizens commit crime. We're kind of stuck with that. But we are not stuck with illegal immigrants who commit crime. Or frankly, legal immigrants who commit crime. When you come to the United States, it is a privilege, not a right. Should the standards be higher? Yes. And yes, identity fraud (using false Social Security number), perjury (when you sign government documents with false information), welfare fraud (signing up for benefits for which you are not eligible - even when the government tells you on the form that they won't check your citizenship), providing a false address to get "free care" in a hospital, etc. are all crimes for which citizens would be prosecuted. So yes, virtually all illegal immigrants are "criminals," even if you discount the administrative crime of entry.

I really don't care if illegals are living in fear in America.

They can easily rectify those fears by returning to their home country with their children.

Deport all illegals, let the families decide what to do about the children. It's not America's problem.

Take everyone they round up who is illegal and get them direct to the closest Mexican border point and shove their asses back to Mexico. Open gate, send off, close gate. Tindenand repeat. Unless they committed a crime like mirder, it's time to Emoty the ice jails and send these people back.

It's mexicos problem not ours. Let them figure out what to do with these people.

Stop making everything americas problem.

The faster we send them back the better.

Anonymous wrote:You know what decrease the number of deaths by gun violence? Yep, stricter gun laws, especially for those with mental health issues. What's Trump doing about that? I know what the R congress just did regarding people with mental health issues and access to guns.
>
Then you know that during the last months of the Obama administration, the Social Security Adiministration EXPANDED the definition of "mental health" to include, among others, those on social security disability insurance (not just "mental") and those who have their financial affairs handled by a third party, right? And you know that under the Trump administration, it was this recent EXPANSION of regulatory power that was undone? You know that, right? If you don't. you might want to read a little deeper into the issue before offering your advocacy of limiting the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens.

I am an SSA attorney, and you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. None. Obama's rule says that if you need a rep payee for SSI/SSDI due to mental illness, then you can't buy a gun. Now, getting SSI/SSDI on mental illness alone is tough. A combination of mental illness, physical illness, over age 55 and less than a high school education-- much less so. But just mental illness is a high bar. You blow way past anxiety, depression and even somewhat controllable bipolar, and are looking at things psychosis and schizophrenia. A good rule of thumb: you have been committed for at least three two week periods in the last year. And getting a rep. Payee is even harder. You have to be that mentally ill plus incompetent. In many cases, rep payees are used because someone has a serious substance abuse history too, or an IQ below 60 and there is no way they will use the money for housing and foot. They will give it away or buy drugs. Now, you would think that common sense dictates that a psychotic person having a gun is a bad thing. But in case it doesn't, consider this. Most SMI peripheral will not use their gun to kill someone else. They will kill themselves. Because you have to be a danger to yourself to be committed for 3 two week periods a year.

In completely UNRELATED news, SSA did just change the criteria for mental illness. However, those laws went into effect this month, and no one knows how it will play out IRL. But, it takes known problems with applying the current guidelines and tries to correct them. Right now, the system is too subjective and focuses on the wrong things. This is an attempt to get a more uniform result and have less guesswork. My initial read on it is that fewer people will qualify, not more. But that we will do a better job at getting the people we should. It will be a couple years before we know, because of the backlog. But, this change has nothing to do with the rep payee gun law.

TLDR: you're an idiot PP.
