Ladies, are you heavier than your mother?

Anonymous
In total yes, but proportionally no. She is taller than me.
Anonymous
She has been dead for four years, so probably yes.

Please tell me it's OK to laugh at this.

Absolutely.

Yes. My mother is an elite marathon runner at 65. I get out of breath running for the bus.

My sibling died and she stopped eating but yes even before that I am heavier. She had talked about being a teen and eating only egg whites to stay skinny.

What's your angle op? Turning us against our mothers. Get over yourself

We weigh the same but carry our weight differently. She only gains in her stomach; I gain everywhere BUT my stomach. Most of the women I know (whose moms I also know) are the same - very similar weight to their moms, if not necessarily the same distribution pattern.

No, my mother has always been overweight. I've always been tall and slender even after having children.

Your mother is awesome! My mom has let herself go and gained 80+ pounds, so I'm way smaller now.

I weigh probably 30 pounds more than my mom but I'm 3 inches taller. I have way bigger boobs and a regular butt, as opposed to her lack of boobs and huge butt. My mom also monitors everything she eats like a crazy person and I just can't do that. I figure my extra weight is a fair trade off for a way better (looking) body.

My mom has been within ten pounds of her high school weight her entire life. Even after three children. She's 81!

Not at all same proportions, but I strive to do the same. I'm more muscular and more fit. My mom was probably skinny fat for most of her life.

Pps have mentioned it, but you cannot discount the thinning effect smoking has. Now that it's seriously out of fashion at least for the upper middle class, people are heavier. It's not the only reason, but it's a big one. My mother got thin in her 30s on cigs and coffee. Died at 51. Don't recommend it.

Yes, but she's anorexic.

I weigh more, but we wear the same size clothes.

+1 My mother weighs 100 lbs. Thank goodness I am heavier than her.

Yes, probably 30 lbs heavier than my mom if I had to guess. To be fair, though, I have my dad's body type - not hers.
