Something people need to understand is FVU is different from Vienna, BRYC, Valor etc...what I mean is FVU holds the ECNL charter so they are their own entity and will simply choose the best players they can at tryouts. Just because you play for any of the clubs in the "union" is absolutely meaningless and FVU is not beholden to taking any of them. The rising U13s are a good example of that.
When McLean was part of VA Union McLean held the ECNL charter so VA Union was not its own entity. This is very different from what FVU is. The entire FVU org is a scam from the "6 national titles" of a org that has only existed for 2 years to any 'union' or clubs that are supposedly part of it. Its time we as parents wise up and stop getting conned...pre ecnl for bryc, valor, vienna etc means youre in position to make the RL team and thats it |
Its not about right or wrong its about know how and you have shown you are ignorant of soccer development. This is ok, just stop posting on things you know nothing about. |
Yeah that's not how this works. You don't get to tell other people whether or not they can post. I know a ton about another sport that has its own forum on here, and I don't go over there telling people to stop posting when it's clear they are just sharing their perspective as a parent who didn't compete in that sport. Who cares if I know more? It doesn't affect whatever perspective and experience they are having with their kid in the sport. I don't need to go prove how knowledgeable I am. The soccer board really seems to attract that type. |
This poster must be another VDA agitator because they clearly did not watch the game. |
Another VDA agitator? There’s more than one? Are the VDA agitator(s) in the room right now? |
Agreed. I was generally curious as to why someone would be ok with a team being oriented around a single player. What you are describing is how I perceive our old team. We left because it was not improving my kid and teaching lessons in life I dont support nor what I see as good soccer. IMHO there is nothing better than a team playing together, as one and everyone getting chances based on how the play evolves. Yes, winning feels good, but at what cost. |
In this case your perspecive is not needed. Shut it down go back to your LAX or Baseball board. You silly americans think your opinions matter on a sport you have zero credibility. Sit down, thanks. |

VDA is always lurking where FVU is mentioned
They should be paying this website ad dollars for how much they post proVDA propaganda |
You remind of a tiny little man who used to be on our team and left because our team wasn’t playing the ‘right’ way. In reality, that persons child just wasn’t very good but he wanted to blame a coach vs coming to terms with the fact that his child just wasn’t that good. That family has bounced around and around because no team is good enough for his standards. I feel bad for the kid. I’d rather my kid enjoy playing soccer, even if it’s the wrong way, than play the right way and hate soccer. |
Yes, you get it! I really couldn't care less whether some dude from another country is mad that Americans don't play the "right" way. Most Americans don't care either, including those whose kids play soccer. I didn't pick soccer for my child, unlike Mr. Expert here who probably didn't give their kids a choice. Maybe he should move his family to a country where they play up to his standards. Instead he'd rather extract whatever resources he can get from the US while continually crapping on it. Completely over people with this attitude. |
+1 this |
Nope, born and raised in the good ol USA. It’s funny how angry you are because I care more about my kid being part of a team and learning a team sport properly vs passing to the tall kid who scores goals to win. Sounds like your kid will be holding my kids bag one day. Everyone needs an assistant so I appreciate you. |
Factually incorrect in 1 part - Mclean did not 'hold the ECNL charter'. Mclean-Union & BRAVE were previously both ECNL when they were required to merge to form FVU. All clubs will always take the strongest players -- as it should be. Previous club affiliation is irrelevant. |
Is that why you said "you silly Americans"? You are giving yourself away here buddy. If you are going to attempt to lie, at least read over your previous post. By your kid's bag, do you mean the bag of balls they'll be carrying to and from the practices of the low level team they will be coaching to in order to pay their bills while they chase a low paying soccer "career"? Mine will be working a real job by then, just like the vast majority of kids who played sports growing up. |
BRYC is technically the club that holds the ECNL charter, but realistically if they didn’t align with Vienna it would have been taken from them. |
