The only reason why you are satisfied is because many other people are living without adequate healthcare. You are selfishly benefiting from the suffering of others. I guess you are ok with that but I am not.

No, this person’s responsible use of medical care is what is paying for all the grifters who use ERs & never pay their bills.

If my circumstances were different I wouldn't mind retiring (as a single woman) to another country, but my job is really to serve as the US-based sponsor for my son's wife. They got married about a year and a half ago and are in the immigration process for her visa. Their state dept correspondence says maybe early 2027.

As crappy as it is to be here, she literally had to get out of her own country right before war broke out. She currently has legal visa status in the country where my son lives and where they met. By all accounts her own former home was looted before her block was more or less just blown up.

As bad as stuff feels to us here, there are people who only dream to one day live in the US.

Does that mean no insurance? Hello, that's me.

Obama and Democrats/RINOs ruined that for me and tens of millions of others. Just not worth paying $500+ a month for insurance now, that's ridiculous. And that's the "affordable healthcare" government crap.

I only hope it doesn't take decades to undo the damage this president has inflicted, and that the idiots in the US of A who voted for him wake the f*ck up and never go down this road again

I’m really sorry it’s so important to your daughter to be able to kill your unborn grandchildren. I can’t imagine how awful that must be, for that to be her priority. And I’m sorry your son doesn’t have the aptitude to succeed in a career than can’t be replaced by AI. But here’s the thing - you probably make fun of people like us - people who are pro-life and have husbands who come home from work with dirt and grease under their nails. So I just know I don’t feel THAT bad for you.

Personally, I make pity people like you. Some of us aspire to a less mammalian type existence, our worth defined by more than what comes in and out from between our legs. But you keep living that base animal lifestyle, I’m sure it’s very rewarding for someone who has little human intelligence and few other options for keeping yourself fed.

DP. This might be the lowest, saddest post I’ve read on DCUM. I don’t understand the idea of tearing people down.

Thank you, PP. I think you just encouraged me to get off this site.

Not a troll. Just responding to an anti-choice, anti-woman nonsense post with the nastiness it deserves.

Did you see what I was responding to? Guessing not. But this isn’t an airport, you don’t need to announce your departure

Hm, I can’t tell if you are 12 years old or intellectually disabled. Which is it?

Europeans don't want you on their healthcare system.

Why do people like you assume that everyone discussing healthcare as a driver is contemplating Europe? Health care is much cheaper (and often better) in much of SE Asia and even right here in North America—in Mexico.

Have you tried applying for citizenship in SE Asia? Applied for jobs?

Have you done these things in Europe? And if you succeeded, what was your citizenship path?

What about like all of Europe? Or Australia ?

Either would be a step backwards as far as personal rights.

Wut?

European governments give better rights than ours

Tell that to the Brits who are jailed for offensive language.

How do you stand on this argument when it has no legs? The USG just did this to people who posted forbidden thoughts about Charlie Kirk, FFS.

No, they didn’t.

Yes, they did.

Trouble with reading comprehension, or just trouble with understanding everything in general?

Canada is recruiting healthcare workers.

I have been known to get sucked into scrolling through FB reels from time to time, and I really love this guy: https://todmaffin.com/ (and yes, site has a link about recruitment, but he has a lot of videos recruiting Americans to move to Canada)

How about this? Not having to worry that you or your daughter will be denied medical care when you or she has a serious pregnancy complication and be forced to risk sepsis, hemorrhage, strokes, or worse.

As for careers that can be replaced by AI--my family has plenty of those people, one of them with a body that has been worn out by years of working with dirt and grease and whose knees have been shot since he turned 50.
