He was employed, burned out and quit. Twice?
He says he can't get a private sector job because he doesn't have a business degree. He won't look for a lower paying job. Well, isn't that special. Team ex-wife |
| He sounds like a real winner op jobless, wife-less because he couldn't commit to having children, homeless, a drinking problem and still loving at home with you. You know why? Because you're an enabler. Nothing is ever going to change for you. |
Please.. he couldn't hack the job he had due to long hours and little pay. He wouldn't be able to get through basic training. What he wants is a cushy high paying job to land on his lap. Good luck to both OP and her DS. |

I know a number of men and women both working 2 and 3 jobs. Most are hustling until they get a higher paying job. Three of them now have the higher paying job.
One is a drug rehab supervisor, one is a Funeral Director, and one is an RN. To reach these higher paying jobs they had to work lower paying jobs. |
As a 40 year old woman who went to Georgetown and works in risk consulting and just made partner with a one year old, your son is a total loser. Not even up for debate, he sucks and you failed. He didn't like it and burned out? Twice? Weak sauce. He's a child who probably can't network and doesn't get why his wife would want a kid and instead runs to mommy to complain and vent? And has now been unemployed 3 years? This is so completely pathetic I can barely believe it's real. "Hardest worker and a good boy" he's a friggin' Norman Bates capital L loser. |
This is outdated, wrong advice. The job market is awful (yea, even for low level jobs). These places aren’t hiring people either advanced degrees from Georgetown (who they know won’t stay). All applications are done online and AI scans them for *recent* retail experience. None? You don’t even get an interview. |
This advice is cracking me up. Do you have ANY idea how sought after retail jobs at Costco are? He’s never, ever getting hired there. |
OP must be a troll. Especially with the lame Reveals of more loser examples. |
LOL |
Are you trolling the board, OP? If not, I feel sorry for you and sorrier for your son that his parent is apparently incapable of guiding him to launch. Who is paying for the alcohol he’s drinking, OP? He needs to get off the couch and go get his behind into a volunteering role in the community somewhere. There is no excuse for not working - whether for pay or not - when one is 37 and able bodied. He’s a drain on his parent and also on society, wasting himself on the sofa and in a bottle all day. |
He should join ICE, they’re seeking total losers and will give them $50k sign on bonuses and a very sweet student loan repayment package if they stay long enough. The pay is over $100k for some of the immigration officers. |
| Mommy and good boy sitting in the tree! Tried to be a man 10 years ago but now just sucks the teat. |
Not true. We are hiring in Georgetown without any experience. Walk in or send a resume. We need about 10 new workers and this is a small business. My 18-year old got hired in VA right after interview and works 10-hours shifts at times. My best friend goes back to her old customer service job as they can't find workers. |
Who is we--Starbucks, Walmart or Home Depot in Georgetown? |
Because she wanted to be married to an adult, not a 2 yo toddler |
