Are there any all girls' schools in the DMV that don't have a drinking/partying culture?

What "SR thread" is being referred to? Link?

I guess most posters are transplants or strivers who didn’t attend local privates themselves because the assumptions being thrown around are so wild.

Always funny when someone who was born with a silver spoon uses striver as an insult.

Sigh.

Here’s the thing:

Those of us who grew up here and went to local catholic schools in the 70s/80s/90s really weren’t affluent.

Sure, we poked fun at the rich kid schools…but we never turned down the beer they served at their parties :0)

Kidding!

The reality is some teens will party too hard, some will abstain, and the majority are somewhere in the middle. There is no such thing as a high school where nobody drinks. But that doesn’t mean your kid needs to be uncomfortable. She will find good kids wherever she lands.

Agree with the others that you will find a few per grade at any school. What you want to avoid is a critical mass which is somewhat hard to predict because it varies by grade. However, they do seem to congregate at SR.

OMG! Huge partiers at NCS!

Like every school, it varies by grade. Last year's NCS class had a half dozen regular partiers. That was it. 50% of the class had never set foot in a party, even pre and post prom. Other grades have a different split in this regard but there is always a large majority that does not party regularly.

Where did you find these specific numbers?
