Boomers invented the Internet, you moron. |
huh? Millenials are 84-2000. 29 is right there. |
Al Gore? Ha ha ha. Vint Cerf is Silent Generation. |
This is why these generation in-fighting posts are so dumb. No one can even agree what ages they encompass. Google says that it's people born between 1981-1996 for what it's worth, not 2000 which would be a crazy large age range. That still includes 29 year olds but barely. |
Anyone who thinks "generations" all act the same across the board are annoying to me. I do not identify as gen x and I take people individually. So you are annoying to me op because you believe in the generational 'war'. We are all human good and bad. |
Millennials full stop most annoying.
Jonesers are the best. |
I just now looked up as to why the silent generation (those born between 1928 and 1945) were called that. The internet says they were perceived as quiet and conforming, especially compared to the generations before and after them. It was also a smaller generation, with only 47,000 born in the U.S. during that time. Now, they would be the silent generation because most of them are dead. Gosh, I just found a macabre website called the "generation death clock". It ticks off the number of dead people for each generation. https://incendar.com/silent_generation_deathclock.php |
Gen X is in their 50's you dufus |
Actually it was the young people (20s) got him elected. He got the youth vote. |
+1. You're thinking of Greatest and Silent generations. Parents of boomers. |
I work with every generation and this is a silly question. Jerks and annoying people come in every age. I’m a (younger) Gen-X. |
I can’t wait until you experience all of the effects of aging—which you will, because it’s biology— and some smug young adult writes you off as irritating .
Watch out for karma young buck |
I don’t think so. Gen-X is usually not even mentioned in these stupid generation wars. I feel like Gen-X is very meh about things. Boomers were the hippies who were going to change the world but then grew up. |
Well I’m a Gen-Xer and the advantage of growing older is no longer giving a F about what the young peeps think of you ![]() |
+1 Millennials are weird. There's a large sub-segment that tries to be weird/quirky but in the same way everyone else on Reddit is (they were the people pushing mustaches and tacos on everything in 2013). Now, they're Disney adults, in a polycule, and/or doing Dungeons and Dragons and yelling about their "wifey", "doggo" or "hubs" on social media. They're mini-Boomers in the making. Then there's the younger millennial segment that makes their sadness or mental illness their entire personality and overshares constantly to the point that it's uncomfortable for everyone in the room. |
