I wish UVA would get rid of ED. Other top publics do not have a binding admission round (UCs, Michigan, UNC). |
Why do females have a higher acceptance rate when m/f ratio is 42.6/57.4? |
Oh, when you referred to high-level stats, I thought you meant individual stats of EA applicants. |
Why? |
Good luck to those waiting for news tomorrow! |
Counting down to 5 pm! |
25% EA in-state is looking pretty good. Fingers crossed |
The blog says that uva made 6,746 offers in EA for an admission goal of around 3,970. That means they are expecting a yield rate of around 60%. Am I reading this right? |
I think that's the goal for the entire freshman class. |
I think their total yield is something around that. |
🤔 You just answered your own question. |
I have worked in admissions in other contexts, not UVA. But simply put, the females are more qualified. Period. |
UVA has already filled 1,282 spots in the ED round. That leaves 2,688 spots for the EA and RD round combined. The yield is much higher for in state kids. |
How much harder is it for kids to get into UVA RD vs. EA? |
Their IS yield is 60%. Their OOS yield is 25%. It's on their website. |
