More uneducated white women have jobs than uneducated white men. They are more likely to be financially independent than dependent on their husband. |
Higher prices probably. Erosion of social security definitely. Not sure about the ACA. A lot of powerful companies make money off of it so that's going to be a problem for him. Maybe he just renames it trumpcare and on we go. |
He's is going to shut down all the cat food factories and the college educated women will have to watch their cats slowly starve to death. |
I don't think these cats are eating cat food. |
There’s a pipeline from parenting to alt right.
I own a social media agency, and a couple years back I was researching some brands for market research for a client, a couple of which were parenting brands. While I was digging around, I found they had ties to extreme right wing organizations. And they market to parents, especially moms, by instilling fear that bad things will happen to their kids. So they start with fairly benign parenting things, but over time get sucked in and next thing you know, there are books bans and everyone is homeschooling because schools are “indoctrination”. Moms go extreme far right because of the anxiety over their children. There’s a reason Trump focuses on trans - convince everyone their kids are going to be brainwashed into mutilating their genitals, and you’re gold. It was pretty shocking for me to see this. The far right has gotten EXTREMELY good at marketing. There are several pipelines in place, including parenting, health/nutrition (why do you think so many of them sell supplements and Andrew Huberman is on the right wing podcast circuit?), crypto, dating/marriage, holistic/natural, etc. Many of which are female-focused. And Fox News is one of the most brilliant marketers out there. Even the colors and sound effects they use are designed to put people into a state of fight or flight so they purchase from ads. |
I do know one person that's deep deep into supplement stuff and he's a wacko right-winger. Not a mom though. |
PP. Yea, there are several pipelines targeting multiple demographics. Fitness is a big one for men, especially because they can tie that into dating (which is why red pill emphasizes men need to be in shape - it’s far easier to sell supplements to burn fat and build muscle than it is to sell men that they need to learn to be good partners). It’s interesting they’ve been able to target the far, crunchy left - 30 years ago, the people who raised their kids on home farms were all hippies. Now it’s mostly far right. You appeal to their current beliefs then funnel them into the extreme ones. My MIL nearly died about a month ago because she buys ALL the supplements peddled by far right influencers, which are all made overseas with zero regulations, and refuses to take her prescribed medication because “Big Pharma”. Meanwhile she almost died because of how all those supplements interacted when mixed. |
It's such a terrible con. My wacko right winger friend is not in good health at all and takes a lot of supplements. |
And obviously is spending way too much money that he doesn't have to do it. |
Yea. The alt right are just incredible marketers. The whole reason Trump won the first time is his campaign focused on targeting people on social media based off of their data and what would be most likely to sway them. There’s a whole documentary on it. For some people it’s parenting, others health and wellness, other relationships, etc. So they have their fingers in all of those pots. Sadly politics in the United States really is just who is the best marketer. The left really should stop trying to play fair and use the same tactics. |
I agree with that. |
I come from an area with lots of uneducated white women: they are all in competition for a very limited supply of decent men making ok wages, almost all of whom are conservative. The women are being the ultimate "pick mes". |
“He loves the uneducated. He can shoot someone in the middle of 5th Avenue and they’d still vote for him.” That’s how dumb they are. And that’s what Trump thinks of his electorate. Sad! |
