It's the SELECTIVE focus on migrants who commit crimes that's the problem. Lots of native-born Americans do horrible things and he doesn't talk about them.

In fact, far more native-born Americans do horrible things.

Illegal immigrants commit crimes at a 60% per capita lower rate than natural born Americans. Illegal immigrants are model citizens compared to Americans, and that is an indisputable, undeniable fact. Demonizing them as "criminals" is racism, pure and simple.

What year is that stat from?

Here's a fun realization. If you didn't have 25 million illegal immigrants, you would have a 0% per capita lower rate than natural born americans. Wait, then you could devote more resources to those terrible natural born americans. Illegal immigration is a drain on every resource in the country.

Here's another fun realization: our economy does somewhat rely on those illegal immigrants who work the dirty jobs, those industries that lean heavily R (farms, janitorial work, lawn care).

So, if you want to get rid of illegal immigration, a wall won't cut it because a lot of them just get work visas then over stay their visa working in those industries. You want to kick them all out? You gotta kill the demand in those industries. How to do that. Make the penalty so high that it becomes not worth it. Right now, the penalty is tiny in comparison to the profit those businesses (many owned by Rs) can make by hiring cheap labor.

But, Rs will never do this because those business owners are their voters and donors.

I don't hear Trump/Vance supporting higher penalties, do you? Of course not, because Trump's hotels even use those cheap illegal immigrant labor, as do many of his friends' businesses.

So, instead, Vance throws the boogey man out about legal Haitians living here, and like the cult members MAGA are, they lap it up.

A border wall will do nothing about the visa overstayers.

Unfortunately, that is far too complicated for the MAGA simpletons to comprehend. That’s why the Trump had to keep his propaganda very simple: “build a wall”

You mean like, “Build Back Better”? Simple indeed.

Or “Defund the Police” and “Vote Blue No Matter Who.” Democrats are such simpletons.

More projection.

How many MAGAs understand who is actually hiring the undocumented workers and incentivizing them to come in the first place? Who is picking them up by the truckload at the border and bringing them up to their plants?

Provide a credible citation for whatever it is you’re claiming.

Many Republicans own these companies/factories that hire undocumented workers (sometimes children).

One example:
https://www.cleveland.com/metro/2018/06/fresh_mark_where_ice_arrested.html

“ Fresh Mark, the meat packaging company federal immigration agents raided Tuesday and arrested 146 people, has a history of accusations that it hired undocumented immigrants for years to work at the facility

One of them died there in December.

An ex-employee said in a whistleblower lawsuit filed against the Canton-based company in 2001 that the company knowingly hired undocumented immigrants and that employees often forged documents on behalf of workers.”

“ Neil Genshaft serves as CEO of Fresh Mark, according to public records. He has a history of donating to local and national Republican candidates”

Nice cite!
Don't expect to see PP back after that.

More on that:

https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/05/08/exploitation-and-abuse-at-the-chicken-plant

“Scrambling to find workers in the late nineteen-eighties and early nineties, Case Farms sent recruiters across the country to hire Latino workers. In one instance, the recruiters hired dozens of migrant farmworkers from border towns in Texas, offering them bus tickets to Ohio and housing once there. “

“One spring night in 1989, a Case Farms human-resources manager named Norman Beecher got behind the wheel of a large passenger van and headed south. He had got a tip about a Catholic church in Florida that was helping refugees from the Guatemalan civil war.”

“Beecher arrived at the church in time for Sunday Mass, and set himself up in its office. He had no trouble recruiting parishioners to return with him to the Case Farms plant in Morganton, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Those first Guatemalans worked so hard, Beecher told the labor historian Leon Fink in his book, “The Maya of Morganton,” that supervisors kept asking for more, prompting a return trip. Soon vans were running regularly between Indiantown and Morganton, bringing in new recruits. “I didn’t want [Mexicans],” Beecher, who died in 2014, told Fink. “Mexicans will go back home at Christmastime. You’re going to lose them for six weeks. And in the poultry business you can’t afford that. You just can’t do it. But Guatemalans can’t go back home. They’re here as political refugees. If they go back home, they get shot.” Shelton approved hiring the immigrants, Beecher said, and when the plant was fully staffed and production had doubled “he was tickled to death.”

Most of these companies and industries that hire undocumented workers are deeply R.

This is not new. Trump has always spoken like this from when he announced his candidacy and talked about Mexicans being rapists. He’s shown us over and over again what he is like and yet half the population, especially men, seem to like it.

They are hopeless cases at this point. I no longer grieve my maga relatives. It feels more like good riddance to old garbage, honestly.

This is why focusing on immigrants over native-born people is so glaringly racist/xenophobe.

Such a lovely pro-life stance you've got there.

You know you can be against horrible criminals doing horrible things, and still recognize that they are HUMANs, with the sanctity of life that ALL humans have.
And as President, the words you use matter.

Let's not forget that Trump himself is one of the native born people with criminal convictions and was found liable for rape.

It's more than a little rich for him to be calling out rapists when he himself is one.

See quote below. As a former Catholic, the church's fixation on abortion is disgusting. They don't care what the actual consequences on women are of abortion bans. They don't care about women's lives. I think, and excuse my language, that the Pope should stfu.
https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/13/politics/pope-francis-trump-harris-abortion/index.html

Pope Francis on Friday described the choice US voters must make in the presidential election as one between the “lesser of two evils,” deeming former President Donald Trump’s anti-migrant policies and Vice President Kamala Harris’ support of abortion rights as both being “against life.”

“One must choose the lesser of two evils. Who is the lesser of two evils? That lady or that gentleman? I don’t know,” Francis said during a press conference on the papal plane, referring to Harris and Trump. “Everyone with a conscience should think on this and do it.”
