My girls I took to shows in that age of 10-15 when was into that type of music. Todays 10 year old who wants to go to first pop concert is born 2015. TS could be same age as her Mom in a lot of cases.

TS is pushing 36. That is like your daughter in 1985 seeing first concert at age of 10 seeing a person born 1949 who performed at WoodStock in 1969 vs. New Kids on the Block who in 1985 was a new young band of good looking young men . 36 to a ten year old is really old. That is what TS is.

Taylor had the guidance of her mother, who was a marketing executive and understands branding and consumer psychology. She knows that the core age demographics don’t respond well to over the top sexuality that caters to men, they want to feel empowered. And maybe for a girl who grew up on the Disney channel, acting out sexually is empowering, but it’s not for the average girl or woman.

It’s probably because of the weird attitude Disney has towards teenage girls. They need to be thin and desirable, but zero overt sexuality. Walking that extremely fine line as a teenager must be traumatizing and exhausting. So when they’re free, they want to take back control and act out.
