They went together to his senior prom, and she posted on Instagram that it marked one year together. So they appear to have been dating roughly since his junior year.

Kyle’s parents are Rebecca and David Filipowski. His mom’s family had a good deal of information easily available online. His mom played college basketball and her maiden name was Rebecca Hagerdon. Two of her siblings (Kyle’s aunt annd uncle) also played college basketball. Randall Hagerdon, played basketball at Boston College, and Beverly Hagerdon, played at Dartmouth from 1984-88.

Kyle is one of four brothers. Daniel (the oldest) is the one speaking out on X. Daniel seems to be in the Sports Management field, which is interesting. Kyle’s twin brother Matt plays basketball for Harvard.

If they are related, it seems unlikely they are related on his mom’s side. This is what I found out with 15 mins of Googling in the camp carpool line, I’m sure there are plenty of internet sluths that will get to the bottom of this soon.

According to a quick Google search, her parents also have a decent age gap with her mom being 5 years older than her dad.

Not typical at all for that generation.

He was punished by teams and not drafted because he is a victim? I just read about this story today and the issue of consent when it comes to women offenders is absolutely backwards. I feel terrible for the guy, working so hard at a sport for so long and having that derail him.

You have the ages wrong. She's 8 years older. THey met when he was 12 and she was 20. Thats disgusting, and I'd hope anyone would speak out against a 20 year old man pursuing a 12 year old child.

It's alleged she got him to purposely botch interviews and/or decline meeting with other teams who had earlier draft picks in an effort to go to the Mormon-controlled Utah Jazz team in the 2nd round. Not the first time a draftee has done similar to control their destination, but they don't seek to fall dozens of slots, as the later you're drafted the less your first contract is. Early 1st round picks get $40 to 50 million over 4 years, while 2nd round picks only get maybe $8 million over 4 years, if they're lucky.
