Top 3 things every individual needs to do to slow down rising temperatures

We went for the 3.5 l engine instead of the 2.4 l; that way we can zoom zoom.

We replaced our heat pump with a gas furnace. Now the house is actually warm during winter.

We also replaced our electric range with gas. Temperature control while cooking is so much better now.

China is what you need to focus on.

China produces more pollution and greenhouse gas emissions than all the other countries of the world combined.

Seriously?

1. Have fewer children.

2. Have fewer cars (share, use public transit when possible, don't get 16 yo a car immediately).

3. Consume less: meat, paper towels, gasoline, smaller house, fewer flights, etc...

THIS exactly. CHINA has ZERO environmental standards.

AVOID buying more Chinese trash.

Why have Americans fueled Chinese scorching of the earth?????

Why are people like you even looking at a forum on environment, weather, and green living?

We may not be at the tipping point in terms of science but psychologically you bet we're there. In our online Amazon 2 day delivery smart phone/phones/social media world, convenience reigns supreme. We will never return to a world where people don't want to travel, live the "good" life and have to sacrifice any convenience ever.

Acceptance is everything. Things will change only upon acceptance of our fate.

I’m always hopeful that someone can explain to me how my Prime delivery day box of assorted items being delivered by a truck that is already coming to my apartment building and neighborhood with hundreds of other orders is worse than me driving all over MoCo and DC to purchase those same items in person?

Because one Amazon driver delivering all those packages is far less than all those individuals driving all over MoCo and DC to purchase all those same items in person.

But you have to admit, that poster does have a point, no?

We can sacrifice and carpool and everything, while rich people espousing environmentalism board their private jets at every opportunity.
