Well, I'm sure there are case by case reasons why some may hug the bench more than others Especially the ones who don't come to practice and arrive at game late etc |
So you’d be fine having your player not play any minutes since it’s only 5-6 touches? |
That works well unless its the best players coming late of skipping practice. I've seen a coach lose a team by enforcing playing time rules with the worst player will still starting stars who skip practice |
No no, he is fine with YOUR kid not playing any minutes. |
Also parent to bubble player. Played for a few years on a team that the coach constantly put them in the bottom third (but generally got 50% game time). Moved to a new team with new coach and one of better players on team. Confidence soared and became leader on that team and improved immensely as a result. It all shows the right team and the right coach can do wonders. |
THE POINT is Training is much more important than games Games are more important for parents Yes, they should play however |
never been an issue for either of my players we've always had them join appropriate level clubs/teams for their skillset. |
Exactly |
Sorry, not sorry. I'm not spending thousands of dollars per year and travelling across the US for equal playing time |
It pays to be king 🤴 |
You're mistaken what you think you're paying for |
Not if you have to forfeit your spring tournament because most of the kids left and quit when they got new offers |
I think the king is the star player |
please tell me what i think i'm paying for then, because i have receipts for airplane tickets, hotels, rental cars, food while traveling for 2 or 3 people. If i wanted my DC to be on a team with equal playing time, i wouldn't pay to travel across the US for tournaments, i'd have them join a rec team and i wouldn't have any travel costs. |
Those games that you traveled to are more meaningful? Don't understand your point. Isn't soccer, soccer until like u15? |
