Michigan no longer considering AP scores

So much information about Michigan is flat out false here.

Seems like this will penalize high schools with tough grading policies. My AP Calculus class had 15 people. Only 2 people got A's in the class, but all 15 of us had 5 scores on the AP test. This was at a mid-sized public HS in California (graduating class of 450).

AP scores provide more context for the GPA.

I think this post is out-of-date.

There was a window of time this year when this page on the MI website said that APs will not be considered at all. However, I think they have since changed the website again.

It does not seem like they place a huge emphasis on APs but the site no longer says that they are 100% irrelevant.

It's wonderful that they have your well-researched, informed, and helpful observations on the matter. I'm sure it will change their opinion and practice.
