I hate that it's so hard to accomodate Android users in an Apple world

The apple store is very helpful with resetting old ipads as long as you can log in or prove it is yours (I recently had to do this for an ipad we inherited from someone who died)

In your dad's defense, Corel Word Perfect was a far superior product. I remember when my work made the switch from Corel to Microsoft (for all the reasons you mentioned because it was what everyone else was using) and I really missed Corel.

Google Pixel phones are a far superior product to Apple. I've been buying Google phones since they were called Nexus instead of Pixel. I am also paying $90/month for 4 lines on Google Fi. I think the EU's crackdown on Apple to switch to USB-C is a good first step.
