Catherine's family has a history of service to the country. In addition to most of her male ancestors serving in the military, two of her aunts were at Blechley Circle during World War II. The women at Blechley were from at least middle class families and educated enough to decipher German military codes. She goes through a lot of pain if she doesn't like her country, husband, and family. I think she has a good deal of fortitude from her involvement in sports. She learned how to play on a team and the discipline that is needed to be effective in any sport. She also plays the piano reasonably well and that also requires dedication. |
She is much more similar to the last Queen than anyone else. Never explain. Never complain. And she is doing a phenomenal job at it, successfully balancing her role and public duties, her family's private life with the limelight. I really can't fault her.
Everything on here is just gossip. |
I think Kate benefits from a healthy childhood and family of origin which neither Diana nor Meghan had. When time comes to tell, the Middletons will be responsible for saving the British monarchy. I do think William is wise enough to understand this. |
Agreed. She accepts that her job is to put with anything William does. It looks increasingly exploitative and just sad as time passes. She seems to dislike William but clings to the title OR she knows that she would get nothing in a divorce and would face a fate worse than Diana. She’s been a prominent Royal for a decade and still can’t give a speech. Whether that’s due to incompetence or stupidity, it adds a depressing quality to her appearances. |
These two, William and Kate, will not divorce. She will be queen of England. |
Could not disagree with you more. Her speeches are quiet and relatable. She’s obviously shy. They seem to have a really strong, loving bond and from where I sit there is literally no evidence of William treating her poorly. you can tell she is stable and really benefited from a strong family of origin. |
LOL, no way. Kate put down her deposit at a different school and just happened to decide to take a gap year after it was announced where William would attend university, then appear at the very same school? She was 100% shooting her shot. There’s nothing wrong with what she did, but don’t make it a fairy tale. |
I agree. Nothing could happen to cause them to divorce. Their marriage is just as much about their personal and professional relationships and they appear to be good coworkers. Behind the scenes, the job they have allows them complete flexibility in how much time they actually spend together personally. |
She is a strong woman and protective of her family. |
She was a teenager who had a crush on a prince, its not like she was a older, divorced, media savvy, professional with Hollywood connections who wanted to marry a rich brit. |
No, I do not. |
Different strokes. I like the other couple so much better. I think Harry has spunk, like his late mother, and William is stubborn and spineless, like his dad, living a farce of a life. And Kate? Well, she is waity Katie who has never really worked a day in her life. Not much to admire there. |
+1. A lot to admire there. |
Meh the other couple are basic influencers doing nothing special. They have boring interests and even more boring events. |
+1. A very good analysis. We teach our daughters that they should leave toxic relationships and not put up with sh&t. In that regard, Kate is the opposite of a role model. I am guessing she is not very happy in private. |
