Not all men like skinny minnies

I am 6’4” muscular 255 lbs. Skinny woman do nothing for me.

5’4” - 135-155 with curves is ideal.

That's still well within a healthy range for a woman of that height. So you like healthy women with curves, not overweight women who claim to be curvy.

Im 5'4, 140lbs, 38, 31, 38 and wear a size 6 pants. Id like to lose 10 lbs but I'm active and definitely not fat, just normal.

Size 6 doesn't allow a 31 inch waist. A size 6 would cause a muffin top.

Lol. NP but you don’t know what you’re talking about

No, PP is right. A 31 inch waist is around a size 10.
-DP

I'm 5'7", 115lbs, and I have a 29" waist. I could gain 8lbs and have a 31" waist. It depends on your body type.

You are either measuring yourself in the wrong place or you haven’t weighed yourself in years. 5’7 115 is underweight and is not anywhere close to a size 10–maybe in UK sizing!

Well I’m 5’3” 108lbs, 33-26-34 and I wear a size 4 in Lululemon. So I too call BS.

Maybe she’s a size 6 in her old navy capris?

I said skinny does nothing for me , never said fat does anything for me either.

But such outrage when he shows a similar attitude towards housework and child care...

I doubt he grumbles to you about your appearance. He probably grumbles about you to his AP.

The OP asked men if they cared if their wives put in effort into their appearance.

But many of the responses are from women that basically say: "I'm kinda chubby, but not fat, and my husband tells me I'm attractive. And sometimes Steve from the office gives admiring glances. Therefore, I am giving myself permission to stay frumpy."

Lol very true. Maybe one to 3 men straggle around dcum. I doubt more than that so uppity fat women take over the ask men threads.

I am cool with frumpy while putting out and making their partner happy. The uppity ones (i.e., most of the women on here) complain that there are no good-looking men their age while their bottoms grow and grow.

PP with 31 inch waist (can’t believe I just typed that omg). I def do wear a size 6, just bought the pace skirt from lululemon in that size and align leggings in a 6. I tried 8s in both and they were way too big and stretchy. Its just my body type.

…But the point being made by multiple PPs was “it doesn’t matter so much what you wear day to day, just don’t be fat” (or to specifically quote the post you responded to, “stay thin and in shape”)
not
“be skinny.”

Weighed myself last week. I'm not underweight, I have a small frame. I eat and I lift and I exercise and I'm healthy by all metrics. I'm not a size 10, what I was saying is that a size 31" waist is not necessarily a size 10. For me to have a "perfect" 24" waist, I would basically have to die based on how I'm built. I am slender and fit and my measurements are 31-29-33. Measurements dont' mean much. How much can you lift? How far can you run? Do you feel good?

I wouldn’t consider myself skinny. I know that me “being put together” is a huge turn on for DH and he is also the has ever truly appreciated my efforts.

I mean you’re saying that and good for you, but clothes are constructed to fit measurements on a measuring tape, not “feeling good” and “running far”. There is no brand in the USA that will fit a size 6 at 31”. Words mean things!

OP was talking about wearing a size 6 in stretchy Lululemon leggings. A typical size 6 dress with a fitted waist will measure 26- 28” max. Maybe Op is wearing sheath dresses or other cuts that fit a small bodice/hips and skim or stretch over a thicker waist. If everything you wear has a heaping helping of elastane, any size is possible…
