I have a couple of early childhood professionals in my family and they both roll their eyes at our provider giving our 2 yo letter tracing and other types of worksheets. It seems so stupid. We're at a small independent daycare - do the big chains do this too? |
Goddard doesn’t believe in worksheets. |
Everbrook uses them, but I don't think they use them until pre-K. |
Bright Horizons does in pre-k. |
My daughter has been at a Goddard location since she was an infant. Before she was about 4 years old, I don’t remember any worksheets at all. Interestingly, when they started sending home worksheets last year when she was in the 4s class, the teacher was very clear that she does not like worksheets, but sends them home because they’ve had lots of requests from parents for them. As such, she said they were 100% optional. FWIW, she will go to a well-regarded K-8 this fall. |
2 year olds should no be doing worksheets at all. Listen to the professionals in your family, OP.
